My Muscle Chef has called upon their top athlete and trainer ambassadors to programme at-home workouts to keep you on track with your fitness goals during the COVID-19 lockdown. Check out the workouts I’ve put together for MOVE WITH MYMC...

Hi, I’m Ben Seymour. I am a personal and group trainer and endurance athlete. I work with all levels of health and fitness and love watching clients achieve their goals and strive for more.

MY HOME WORKOUT VIDEOS

For MOVE WITH MYMC, I have written out 2 full-body HIIT cardio workouts that will challenge you both physically and mentally. They are at home bodyweight workouts designed for beginner to intermediate fitness levels as you can scale your target numbers each minute. Pick a number of reps that will challenge you!

To compliment the HIIT sessions I’ve also written 2 full-body strength workouts that require no equipment. Trying to maintain/build strength is just as important as doing cardio workouts!

FAVOURITE WORKOUT

My favourites are HIIT because I really enjoy when it gets challenging and I still have numbered targets to reach every minute. Try my HIIT Workout 1 with me at home in your living room...

DAILY ROUTINE DURING LOCKDOWN

My current daily routine is waking up and getting some movement in (walk/strength session) before I train my clients. I usually finish just after lunch and then I will most likely do a HIIT session if I’m up for it, if not I will just rest. There is always some life admin or work to be done on the computer so that happens in the afternoon and then I like to switch off in the evening!

FAVOURITE MYMC MEAL

I’m always packing my Chipotle Chicken on the daily!

MY TIPS TO KEEP HEALTHY DURING ISOLATION

I think staying fit and healthy mentally during this isolation period is the most important. There is a lot of external pressure pushing people to come out of this fitter or with new goals etc, but I honestly believe that survival is the most important. Enjoy some time off, allow your body to recover from our usually ‘hectic’ day to day life. When we are all ready and it's safe to return to work/society, we can hit ‘GO’ again.
