Chickpeas
These hearty little morsels are very versatile and totally delicious. A good source of fibre and protein, while also being rich in vitamin K and B6, as well as several important minerals.
Falafel
A classic meat substitute, this traditional Middle Eastern favourite is actually made of ground chickpeas. It’s high in protein and a good source of soluble fibre to lower LDL cholesterol.
Tofu
This vintage vegan option contains all nine essential amino acids and is a great source of magnesium, copper, zinc and vitamin B1.
Avocados
A great addition to so many dishes, avocados are loaded with potassium. On top of that, they’re a good source of folate and vitamins, including vitamin C and K.
